Grand Asian University Sialkot (GAUS) proudly announce hosting of 3rd National Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Ranking for Universities in Pakistan 2025.
The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is a ranking on green campus and environmental sustainability initiated by Universitas Indonesia in 2010. Through 39 indicators in 6 criteria, UI GreenMetric World University Rankings prudently determined the rankings by universities’ environmental commitment and initiatives.
Grand Asian University Sialkot is committed “to create a transformative educational environment to foster the cutting- edge knowledge, innovation and nurturing integrity in students by engaging specialized resources and aligning activities to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” through its mission.
The university is practicing green initiatives and has shifted its complete campus on Solar Power. The University has significantly planted the trees within the campus and local adjoining area covering 26KM radius. In this context the University organized the 1st Intentional Conference on Climate Change in 2024 joining hands with the Government of Pakistan in creating awareness on the critical issue arising across the globe. GAUS is the only University in the region providing free transport to the students covering 100 Km radius contributing in reducing the overall transport load and carbon emissions.
The Aim of UI GreenMetric is that universities play an integral role in the joint effort between stakeholders and communities in combating climate change. By promoting and developing novel ideas and innovations, universities could promote energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation. However, such activities will require change of behavior as well as economic and social problems related to sustainability. For this regard, universities may become a role model for the society and a critical partner to the government.

3rd National Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Ranking for Universities in Pakistan 2025 aims to achieve following objectives:
We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Ir. Riri Fitri Sari, Chairperson UI GreenMetric and Dr. Junaidi, Vice-Chair of Program, Communication, and Partnership will be joining us in person to share their valuable insights on the topic and guiding in participating in the Ranking process.
